Posts vs. Comments

Normally, it is enough to just “comment” on the main post. Registered users could also add top level “POSTS” as well if they are of a high enough status (maybe one needs to be at least an “Author”).

However, I think it is more than adequate to just do everything as comments. Otherwise it gets confusing.

We’re using a blog engine as a BBS in a way, and so it isn’t the traditional use.

Normally, a blog site has long boring stories posted by Authors, and then the public “comments” on those stories.

Because of how we are going to use this software, it makes more sense to just work with a long string of comments and treat them like the old posts from the days of the BBS.
